Short story of plywood factory "SKLEJKA-PISZ" PAGED S.A.
The Factory is situated in the north-east of Poland in a town called Pisz in the polish lake district Masuria. History of the factory reaches to beginnings of the XX century - we still take care of historical plant chimney marked 1916. In between the wars, the name of our town was Johannisburg, and it belonged to East Prussia. In existing at that time wood manufacturing works, three hundred workers produced plywood, blockboard, and rough chipboard. At the end of the WWII, the factory burned down. After the war, production of plywood and blockboard was reinstated. Throughout the whole time of factory existence there were measures undertaken leading to the increase in production capabilities like modernisation or replacement of machinery, introduction of new technological processes. In the year 2000 there came a turn for legal reformation of our company. As the result of commercialisation of state owned factories, there was a State Share Company Fabryka "SKLEJKA-PISZ" S.A. established. The change in legal form has been the beginning of changes in ownership structure. Now the factory continues to improve its effectiveness. Consequently we reach out to more and more ambitious expansion plans.
